Download Taverne

Taverne is currently available through private access, by invitation, on Windows and macOS.

Use the email address that received your invitation. Your account lists the installers you can access.

Installing an early access build

Early access installers are not yet signed for macOS or Windows. Only use an installer downloaded from your Taverne account. If the source or warning is unexpected, stop and contact the team that sent your invitation.

macOS

Choose Apple Silicon or Intel to match your Mac (Apple menu → About This Mac).
Open the downloaded DMG and drag Taverne to Applications.
Try opening Taverne. If macOS blocks an unidentified developer, open System Settings → Privacy & Security. After checking the file’s source, choose Open Anyway and confirm.
If that option is absent, or macOS reports malware or a damaged application, stop and ask for help. Do not disable system protection.

Windows

Download the Windows installer from your Taverne account and launch it.
If SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, check the file’s source. For this known unsigned installer, More info → Run anyway may be available.
If your antivirus reports a threat or your organisation blocks installation, stop and ask for help. Do not disable your antivirus.
